SUSTHIRA (Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Action) is a well-known non-governmental, non-profit organization in the state of Kerala, India. It is a statutory body with Registration No. S No. 200/2006, under the Charitable Societies Act XXI-1860. Since its establishment, SUSTHIRA has achieved reputation and recognition among the NGOs in the state of Kerala and has been selected several times as the implementing agency for development programs of reputed institutions and local government bodies.
During the past 15 years, SUSTHIRA has been in the forefront of development initiatives undertaken and implemented by the local self-government institutions in rural areas.
SUSTHIRA targets the rural population irrespective of demography. As rural areas lag in economic development, SUSTHRA endorses rural development through growth policies that are not based in favor of any sector or sections of people. SUSTHIRA aims to address income disparities at the rural household level.
SUSTHRA is actively involved in rural development by providing accessibility to farmers through modern equipment and new technology. By promoting a sustainable livelihood, security and minimum requirement to the rural poor, SUSTHIRA stands with the poor sections of society.
